History of the Department
The Hendersonville Fire Department is a professional fire service dedicated to serving the citizens of Hendersonville, TN. The department began as a volunteer service and became a full time, paid department in 1975.
The department serves over 60,000 people within the city limits and responds from seven fire stations.
Personnel in our department consists of a fire chief, an assistant chief, administrative chief, training chief, fire marshal, four deputy fire marshals, two administrative personnel, and 111 suppression personnel.
We respond to fire and EMS calls as well as incidents involving hazmat, rescue, and extrication.
