Session 2 of the Zac Curtis Winter Camp is in the books! It was a great day for a great cause! 60 campers today helping raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research. Thank you to Zac and all the pro, high school and college coaches and players who helped out!

IT'S TIME TO NAME OUR NEWEST PARK:
The Parks Department Ad-Hoc Committee comprised of members of the City Staff, Parks Board, Parks Department, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen as well as members of the community are soliciting suggestions for the name of the Batey Farm Park Property. The link below will take you to a survey where you can submit your suggestion. The Ad-Hoc Committee will take all suggestions and determine a recommendation to make to the Parks Board. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will make the final decision in early 2020. Thank you for your help in taking this survey and giving your input.

R.A.P.T.O.R.S. Basketball 2020
The Hendersonville Parks R.A.P.T.O.R.S. basketball season is just around the corner. Registrations begins November 23rd thru January 3rd. For more information visit our Special Needs Athletic page.
Adult Coed Winter Volleyball
The Hendersonville Parks Winter Adult Coed Volleyball season is just around the corner. The Basketball league registration begins November 18 thru December 15. For more information visit our Adult Volleyball page.
Lunch With Santa
The Hendersonville Parks annual Lunch With Santa event sponsored by the Civitan Club of Hendersonville will be held on Saturday December 14th. The event is free, however all participants must be pre-registered to attend. due to limited space there is a max of 75 spots per session. Registration begins November 11th thru December 12th (by 4:00pm). For more information visit our Lunch with Santa page.
All water fountains in the parks have been shut down for the winter. Additionally, restrooms located near the dog park at memorial, and all restrooms at Sanders Ferry have been closed for the winter as well.
The Hendersonville Parks has several big annual events during the holiday season including: Veteran's Day Parade, Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting, Festival of Lights, Lunch with Santa, and the Boat Parade.
PROJECTS ON THE HORIZON!
Ball Field & Security Lighting
We're currently installing new ball field lighting at Drakes Creek field #3 and Soccer complex as well as security lighting around Memorial Park. These new lights should be ready by the beginning of spring sports!
