We are currently recruiting for Police Officers. The deadline to submit a completed Job Application and Supplemental Application is Friday, July 6, 2018 by 4:00 PM CST.
Once submitted successfully, the Written Exam will be at Hendersonville City Hall on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 9:00 AM CST.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: The Police Chief has requested that your Personal History Statement packet (see below) be completed and submitted at the Written Exam on July 14, 2018 at 9:00 AM CST. Incomplete packets or candidates who show up to test without their packet will not be allowed to test and will be disqualified from the process.
POST Certification bonus: The City of Hendersonville pays a $2,000 bonus for new Police Officers who are already POST Certified at the time of hire. This bonus is only paid after the employee successfully completes a probationary period. Documentation will be verified prior to hire. Employees paid this bonus must work for the City for 3 years or be required to pay it back on a pro-rated basis. This was recently approved by the Board of Mayor and Alderman on May 8, 2018.
