We ask that you provide enough detailed information regarding your specific property maintenance complaint so that we may quickly locate the property in question and then correctly identify the alleged violation. If you can provide us with a specific contact person, including phone number, it will greatly assist in the efficient processing of your complaint although it is not a requirement.
All complaints for properties located outside the City Limits of Hendersonville, but within our Planning Region, will need to be forwarded to the Sumner County Planning and Zoning Department for resolution. Unfortunately State Law severely limits the authority the cities can exercise outside their City Limits but within their Planning Region. You can contact Sumner County’s Planning and Zoning Department directly concerning your specific property maintenance complaint by simply calling (615) 451-6097.
Please be aware that due to certain minimum legally required notice requirements, as well as an occasional unanticipated complication usually created by foreclosed properties, bankruptcies or absentee landlords, unavoidable delays may occur in resolving your complaint. If such a situation should occur the Property Maintenance Inspector will be able to can advise you as to the current status of your specific complaint.
