The City of Hendersonville is accepting separate proposals for the Pilot Recycling Program Collection and Disposal Proposal.  Specifications may be obtained from the Public Works Department, Hendersonville City Hall, 101 Maple Drive North, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Bids must be submitted by Thursday, September 28th, 2017, for opening at 10:00 A.M. in the Public Works Office. The City reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.

NOTICE TO DESIGN-BUILDERS

REGARDING NOTICE TO ADVERTISE FOR

DESIGN BUILD PROJECT

The City of Hendersonville, Tennessee, an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer, is seeking to retain the services of Design-Builders for the design and construction of the Fire Hall #2 Building which includes space for Fire Administration and Information Technology staff, with experience in the following, but is not limited to:

  1. Fire hall and municipal building construction
  2. Site design and layout
  3. Architectural design
  4. Information technology

Interested Design-Builders shall request a formal Request for Qualifications (RFQ) submittal package by email at mboyd@hvilletn.org. All Request for Qualifications submittal packages must be received on or before 4:00 p.m. (Central Time) Friday, September 8, 2017.

The City will evaluate the qualification of the Design-Builder as required in the RFQ. Evaluation proceedings will be conducted as specified in the RFQ.

NOTICE TO CONSULTANT ENGINEERS REGARDING A

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND LETTERS OF INTEREST

TDOT PIN 108809.00; TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS

 

The City of Hendersonville, Tennessee, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, seeks to retain the services of a professional consultant engineering firm to provide services for Traffic Management System Improvements.  This project is being managed by the City of Hendersonville in accordance with TDOT’s Local Government Guidelines for the Management of Federal and State Funded Transportation Projects through the TDOT Local Programs Development Office.  The professional consultant engineering firm must be on the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s current list of pre-qualified consultants and must have unlimited status.

 

The project consists of the installation of a central computer system with traffic management system software to monitor and communicate with a designated network of traffic signals located at intersections within Hendersonville’s city limits. These intersections are located primarily on three (3) main corridors: SR 6 (US 31E, Main Street/Johnny Cash Parkway), SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road), and Indian Lake Boulevard.  Responsibilities include the procurement and installation of the central computer system, traffic management software, integration of the central system with the signal network, and staff training.

Firms may request consideration by submitting a letter of interest along with qualifications, for the project, to Mr. Chip Moore, Public Works Director, Hendersonville City Hall, 101 Maple Drive North, Hendersonville, TN 37075. All letters of interest and qualifications must be received on or before 10:00 AM Central Time, Thursday, July 13, 2017. The letter of interest and qualifications shall indicate the scope of services to be completed by any sub-consultant.

The City of Hendersonville will base selection on the contents of the letters of interest and qualifications. Subsequent interviews may be conducted if needed.

 

The factors that will be considered in the evaluation of submittals are:

  1. Past experience in the required disciplines with TDOT and other clients.
  2. Past experience specific to projects of similar scope.
  3. Qualification and availability of staff.
  4. Demonstrated ability to meet schedules without comprising sound engineering practice.
  5. Evaluations on prior projects with TDOT and other clients, if available.
  6. Size of project.
  7. Amount of work under contract with TDOT and other clients.
