Tree Replacement Along East Main Street
East Main Street Tree Removal and Replacement

The City is cooperating with Nashville Electric Service in the removal of 41 trees on East Main Street from Cherokee Road to Bonita Parkway. These canopy trees have grown into the overhead power lines over the years, causing NES to repeatedly employ drastic pruning measures in an effort to keep the lines clear. As a result, the trees have taken on odd shapes, and many have become eye-sores. NES and the City will be replacing these trees with over a hundred smaller growing ornamental trees, such as flowering cherries, trident maples, and redbuds. These trees have a 20 - 30 feet mature height and will not grow into the overhead lines.
